Teams pull away Broomball play on Sunday December 23 saw Utica and Goreski's pull further away from the pack in the battle for first, and with 7 games to play the represent- ation of the league to the Regional Playdowns is becoming a real dog fight for the two elite division teams. Mean- while, Beacock's have opened up a 5 point lead over Oddfellows for the Intermediate level, and a hold on third place in the overall standings. Utica -6 Brian's -0 Bill Down continued to lead the scoring after notching 2 goals in this affair. Down started off the scoring on the game's first shift when he was set up in front of Kevin Ibbittson, Ken Fraser then aided Chester Down in upping the score to 2-0, before the first period ended with Mike Mitchell and -Renel Hebert clicking. Ten minutes went by before Utica added to the score as Mitchell earned an unassisted effort.
