I got some late Christmas news this week, we never like to leave anyone out, so here goes- Mr. Howard Jef- - fery enjoyed Christmas with his children at his son John's in Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Beacock and Philip join- ed the Allison clan in Blackstock on December 30th for a late Christmas. The Prince Albert U.C.W. met on Wednes- day, January 9th in the church basement, 18 ladies answered the Roll Call. Thank you notes were read from Larry Glasgow, Sylvia Lind- say, Elizabeth Werder, the Friendly Visitors Group and Merle Mur- phy. The Mystery Sister is coming up in February, so be on guard for that. The treasurer's report showed a very good year. Devotional done by Florence Smith and Catherine Daigle- all about the New Year. A new executive takes over in February, so new lunch groups and new Devotional groups are to be drawn up. Lunch was "served by Janet Vernon, Sylvia Lindsay and An- drea Jones. Please come out on February 13th, at 8 in the church basement and bring a friend - it's a good Valentine deed. Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Moore joined the rest of the Ashton clan on January 6th at Larry Ashton's in Oshawa -- | think to celebrate San- dy's birthday, but little is known on this fact, could have been New Years too. Peggy Bredin took Elizabeth and Heather to the O'Keefe Centre in Toronto on January 5th, to see "The Nut- cracker." The girls and mom really enjoyed it. Now if you "haven't '85 FARMING FRONTIERS...A SHOW OF SAVINGS FROM JOHN DEERE seen Peter up at the store, well there is a good reason, he has been in Toronto at Women's Col- lege Hospital undergoing an operdtion. Peter got home on Friday, January 11th, and sorry we are late with these wishes. Peter, but good health to you for the rest of 1985. On December 29th, Les and Grace Beacock were treated to an outing by their son Don and his wife Marilyn from Seagrave, Ontario. They toured Cullen Barns in Toronto and Doctors House in Kleinburg, On- tario. The special occa- sion was Grace and Don's birthday. Belated Happy Birthday you two, from Prince Albert. Thursday, January 10th was the weekly euchre at Prince Albert Hall and the prizes went to- Reta Storie, Mary Williamson and Dorothy McCaslen and I am pleased to report the men needed no help from the ladies; prizes went to J. Poots, Carl Gimblett and Joe McCaslin. Please come on Thurs- day, January 17, and Jif lf play euchre at Prince Albert Hall) Jeay Martyn were kept buSy when they had their andchildren Nikki and rendan Martyn spend the weekend with them. Fred and Hazel Brooks were in Oshawa on Sun- day, attending a surprise TOUR of SCOTLAND Birthday party for Hazel's sister, Muriel Budkowski. Deepest sympathy to the Elson family over on Simcoe Street. Mr. Elson passed away suddenly on Saturday morning. God Bless You All Prince Albert sends out sympathy to Sharene Ross and her family in the loss of her grand- father Albert Slute. The Beacocks were very busy over the holidays. They entertain- ed the Holtbys, the Brooks, the Boltons and Moores, the Franklins of . rooklin and the Devitts from Oshawa over. the holidays.
