SN SR RR Baden Powell service on Sunday Greenbank News by Mrs. Armour McMillan On Sunday February 17th at 11:30 a.m. the an- nual Baden Powell ser- Poverty lesson by Marie Foster The Greenbank U.C.W. met at the church on Wednesday evening, January 30th. The Devo- tional was taken by Barb Ward, Aleta Leask, Elizabeth Fulford and Marie Foster. The theme chosen for this meeting was Peace, Hope and Communication. The Scripture was taken from Romans 12: 9-21. Hymns 375, Jesus, Thou Divine Companion and 356 Take My Life and Let It Be were sung. Mrs. Shirley Baster of Uxbridge gave an in- teresting talk and show- ed slides on her trip to Mexico with a group of United Church people from across Canada, to learn about Develop- ment and Poverty in Mexico. Our new President, Eunice Rahm was in charge of the business part of the meeting. She opened with an ap- propriate poem. The minutes by Barb Ward were read and approved. Correspondence was read and the Roll Call taken. Twenty-two members and four visitors attended. Marg Couperthwaite gave the treasurer's report. The U.C.W. is planning to take a worship service in the spring. Save your good used clothing for the bale; also bring an item for the Victor Home to answer the Roll Call for the March meeting.
