To be Irish is to have more blessings than there are Shamrocks that grow. It's having the mischief of the Leprechaun sparkling in your eye, and a secret liking for shenanigans - so trust all the mischievous folk had a foine day on Sunday last. To the Irish- May the roof of your house never fall in- and those under it never fall out! Nestleton Ladies Ald Meet The Nestleton Ladies Aid met in the church with President Dorothy Lee in the chair. After words of welcome she opened with a hymn '"'Rise up, O Men of God." In charge of the in- spiring devotional- Dorothy used Scripture Acts 17, and the theme from 'Every Day Booklet" closing with prayer. Minutes were-ap- proved as read and the financial statement given by Secretary Win- nifred Davison. A get well card was signed for Dave Vivian who is ill in Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto. Birthday greetings were sent to Dorothy McCabe and Daisy McNeely. Con- gratulations were sent to Ivan and Brenda DeJong re- their new baby. A note of appreciation and a donation from Ruth Thompson who had an enjoyable visit from Dorothy Lee and Win- nifred Davison and was surprised and pleased to receive pot of Mums on her birthday. Best wishes to Ruth from this area. The Secretary -an- nounced that the Nestleton Hall Board plan to serve a Mother's Day Pancake breakfast on May 12th- also- a Flea Market will be held June 22nd at the Nestleton Centre. The Roll Call was answered with a thought for the day. The program consisted of *'A Lesson on Sharing' by Flora Shaw followed by a humorous reading by Winnifred Davison and Dorothy Lee read a poem - GUARANTEED SERVICE GUARANTEED GM PARTS GUARANTEED PRICE \_ J entitled "Our Pledge." The meeting closed with hymn "O Master Let Me Walk With Thee" and Benediction. Lovely refreshments were serv- ed by the President and- Bertha McLaughlin and a time of visiting enjoyed. Port Perry Agricultural Society The Port Perry Agricultural Society an- nual fundraising Spring Dance will be held March 23- this coming Saturday evening- at the Latcham Centre. The D.J.- Len Franssen will supply the music. Door prizes, spot dances and buffet lunch are features. Tickets are available at Irwin Smith's Music Store. Let's see you there! Eastern Star Meets With a fine attendance Blue Ray Chapter, No. 238, O.E.S. held their meeting in the Masonic 'Temple this past Thurs- day evening. After the opening preliminaries were carried out by Associate - Matron Marguerite Mitchell- and assisted by P.P. Wilfred Alexander of Oshawa, warm words of welcome were extended to Blue Ray Chapter members and sisters and brothers from Durham, Sunbeam and Whitby. Honoured guests for the evening were Conductresses and Star Points and they were cordially greeted by their Blue Ray counterparts. During business many money raising ventures will be undertaken this coming month (April) as the Chapter has many commitments to meet. All members will have to get behind these money- raisers and make them a real success. A warm fraternal welcome was given to three P.D.D.G.M.'s Bessie Cosway, Betty Dowden and Thelma Beer- thuizen. After closing- a tempting lunch was in charge of convenor Bren- da Newsome and com- mittee, Debbie Davis, Pauline Pavlik, Paula Copithorn and Noreen Trudell. A great night for Blue Ray!
