Block Parents stree by Margaret Couperthwaite The Greenbank and District Block Parent Association will be spon- soring a discussion on street proofing children at the Greenbank Hall on Thursday, May 9th, at 7:30 p.m. There will be two guest speakers: a police officer and a block parent volunteer from Oshawa, as well as a role-playing session and a film (Strong Kids - Safe Kids). Parents are en- couraged to bring their children to this event. Admissions is free - cof- fee, tea and doughnuts will be served. With a fair turnout Sunday morning, it was nice to see our young people taking part -Trina Bacon, Norman Craw- ford and Scott Spencer, good work. "You"ll Never Walk Alone" by our' choir was much enjoyed. Those of us that attend- ed the Free Methodist Church Anniversary over the weekend cer- tainly heard some lovely music Saturday night by the policemen and Sun- day music by the "Soul Foundation." Sympathy is extended to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Foster in the loss of her brother, Wayne Carter.
