Church and Sunday "School services will be held in Epsom Church at 11:15 a.m. The Vacation Bible School this year is to be held from July 8th until the 12th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for children from 3 to 14 years of age. There is a need for volunteers from the com- munity to help with crafts, music, teachers, supplying cookies or juice. Anyone able to help, please get in touch with Denise at 985-7896 or Edith-Ann at 640-1781. A reminder of the U.C.W. meeting on June 18th at Epsom Church. The meeting will start with a potluck meal to begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. which will be followed by worship and program. All ladies of the community are in- vited to attend for an evening of fellowship. Euchre winners on - Friday evening were Ladies 1st Rita Storie, 2nd Jean Ward and low Ethel Irvine. Men's 1st Joe Ward, 2nd George Harper and low was Irene Fielding. Freeze- out winners were Ab Timms and Margaret Watson with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ward second. There will be another euchre in two weeks. Judy MacSween, Pat Sutherland and Carol Lindsay accompanied - their sons along with other. members of the Blackstock (From page 22) Rochester, Michigan. Our July meeting will have Flora and Harold Martyn show pictures on their trip to Holland. Everyone welcome at 8 p.m. on July 3 at the hall. Meeting closed with O'Canada Kindergarten and Grade 1 classes from Epsom School to Bowmanville Zoo this past week. Mr. Dale Beare of Burlington and Miss Karen Aalto of Oakville visited with Mrs. Crosier on the weekend. Mrs. Crosier accom- panied Mrs. Lorne Slute to the retired teachers Spring dinner and *Water Distillers * Carbon Brick Filters meeting at Maple Grove on Thursday. Saturday supper guests with Lorne and Eileen Slute were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ross and boys and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Slute. Mrs. Lorraine Smith of Toronto called on her brother Bill Brown and myself on Friday after- 'noon. Our daughter, Dorothy and children visited on Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hinchcliffe of Toronto were weekend guests with the Eric Carre family. Sympathy of the com- smunity to Mr. Jim Claughton on the passing of his brother Jack in Toronto this past week. Durham Regional Police « say a. 1976 Oldsmobile driven by Allan Jones was travell- ing southbound on the road when he lost control on a curve and landed in a ditch on the east side. The car wound up against a bordering fence, causing $200 to the fence and $3,500 to the car. Both the driver and a passenger, Jane Jones, also 21, were treated for minor injuries at Port Perry Hospital and released. On June 7th a North Street resident called Durham Regional Police tq report slashed tires on his vehicle, totalling ap- proximately $200 damage.
