| Who are the sexiest men in Scugog? The race is on to find just who's the sexiest guy in all of Scugog Township. } Seriously folks, the Scugog Sexy Man Con- test is being promoted as a major fund-raising venture for the Toronto and District Chapter of the Kidney Foundation. Donna Shanley is Kidney Foundation co- ordinator for the Scugog area, and she's hoping that a lot of wives, girlfriends, mothers, aunts and grammas will nominate their favourite 'sexy guy" in any one of a dozen different categories from student to senior citizen. She says the contest is nothing more than good clean fun, all in good taste, and of course, the funds raised will be turn- ed over to the Kidney Foundation. Previous similar contests held in Bowmanville, Ajax and Markham proved very successful, and Mrs. Shanley is hoping the Scugog event will generate $5000. The rules are simple enough. Any male who lives or works in Scugog is eligible for nomina- tion. The person who does the nominating must pay a fee of $3. to the Kidney Foundation. Over the next four - weeks or so, everybody can cast ballots for the man they believe is the sexiest in the Township. But those casting a ballot will be asked to make a contribution to the Kidney Foundation of at least one penny. Nomination forms are now available at several local businesses, in- cluding the Port Perry Star office, Cobblers Bench and Brock Dept. Store. Voting stations will also be set up at these businesses where people can cast a ballot for their favourite. Mrs. Shanley says the contest is broken into 12 categories including businessman, working man, farmer, salesman, professional, civil ser- vant, politieian, senior citizen, student, service club or association member or bachelor. Nominations will be closed on July 11, the ballots counted and various winners will be announced on July 13 at 7:00 P.M. at the Band- shell in Palmer Park as part of Festival Days activities. And we'll find out just who is the sexiest guy in Scugog Township. For more information on ballots or voting, contact Mrs. Shanley at 985-8284. ROBERT J.
