Some of them had to play their games in some pretty cold weather. Trudy Empringham is our new Mini Convenor Thanks Trudy. Minis Lions -2 Port Perry Star - 0 Mathew Brown got himself a goal for the Lions Club and all the kids played a good game Bruton's LLD.A. - 1 Willy and Son - 0 The first half of this game was dominated by I.D A with a real end to end effort by Lee-Anne Wakeford who scored two goals not counted because they were shot inside the circle. Robert Cotton scored the only goal. Some good saves by Nick Kutlik in goal and good effort by Amy Ir- vine. The second half Willy and Son put on a push with ~~ Paul Shrigley's determination and gome good goal ten- ding by Mandy Smart. Ted E. Bear - 5 Gord Lewis Motors - 0 This w as a very strong game for Ted E Bear's Daryl McEmaney who scored all five goals SQUIRT Canadian Tire - 7 Brian's Towing - 3 Scoring for Canadian " Tire were Sandy Mark 4, Erin Fuller 2, and Chad Mitchell with 1. For Brian's with one goal each were Adam Hunter, Amy Plain and Jeffrey Davis Whitby Mall Video - 2 Heather's Live Bait - 0 Scoring for Whitby Video were Kelly Phipps and Jay Tredway Taylor's Service Station had a bye this week. ATOM Denny Metals - 3 A.T.J. Tool - 2 Thursday was a very cold might for the Atoms games. It was a very close game for these two teams with A. T.J. miss- ing four players from their team and that may have made the dif- ference. Denny Metals was very strong with Steve Desautel and Mike Tripp on defence and Todd Smart very active on the forward line. Scor- ing for Denny Metals were Jeremy Williams 1, Jennifer Hunter 1, and Todd Smart 1 and scor- ing for A. T.J. were Michael Williams 1, and Michael Nichols 1 goal. Kinsmen - 2 Port Perry Maintenance - 0 Another close game in the Atom division!' Duane Empringham played a good game on the forward line, scoring two nice goals for the Kinsmen team. His team mate, Michael Sluggett played a strong defen- sive game. Jeff Andrews and Kevin Paton played a good game in the net for the Port Perry Maintenance team. SOCCER ON THE ROAD Mosquito Girls Lake Scugog Lumber girls travelled to Bowmanville Wed. June 12. The girls played ex- tremely well, outplaying the Bowmanville squad the whole game. Port did everything they could but still could not get the ball in the net. One goal for the Port Perry team was called back because they were offside. The game ended in a 1-0 score. Mosquito Boys Port Perry's Royal Canadian Legion team had a home game Thur. June 13 agains the Bowmanville Spartans. The Port team lost with a close score of 4-3. Scor- ing for Port with all three goals was Shawn Plain Pee Wee Girls One Hour Photo girls had a game in Whitby Mon. June 10. Port put fourth a very strong ef- fort with the game en- ding in a loss for Port of 4-3. Scoring for Port was Jodi Sayles 2 goals, and Jennifer Allardyce with 1 goal. Pee Wee Boys The Bra-Ma-Rod "Sweat Hogs" played at home against Hampton and lost with a score of 3-1. Scoring for Port was Jamie Brown. On Tues. June 11 they travelled to Newcastle and also lost with John Andrews get- ting one goal for the "Sweat Hogs." Pee Wee Boys Vachon "Panthers" travelled to Bowmanville Tues. June 11 to play the "Rowdies." They lost their game with Jeff Goreski getting the Panthers' only goal. Port Perry's Womens Team The Scugog Women's. team travelled to Picker- ing Wed. June 12. They had a very good game against the Pickering Ville team coming up the winners with a score of 41. Scoring for Port were Ronda Martens with two Heather Agnew each with singles.
