Obituary Elva Reta Barnhardt Elva Reta Barnhardt died suddenly at Port Perry Community Memorial Hospital, Saturday June 19. She was born in 1901, a daughter of the late James Gibson and Ellen Ackney both of Reach Township. ky 1926 sha married Ben Coombe of Uxbridge who died in 1944. Tn 1953 she married Edward Barnhardt of Uxbridge In 1983 they moved to Port Perry Villa as they both were in failing health. Her daughter, Greta, Mrs. Bruce Sweetman, died in 1954, leaving a son, Robin. who now is living in Alberta Elva was a member of Uxbridge United Church She had a green thumb with flowers and excell ed as a homemaker She was predeceased by five brothers, Lorne. Bert, Jack, Oscar and Archie two sisters. Mrs Arthur Thomas (Flor ence), and Mrs. George Scott Left to mourn her loss 1S her husband. kd. a sister Ann Milton Howsam (Della). a brother Frank Gibson. a grandson Robin and a great granddaughter.
