The winner of the cake was Brenda Holister, the winning ticket was sold by Steven Cochrane. Last week was a fun filled week. We made rice, pinatas and grass skirts, and even had a hulu hoop and limbo con- test. We would like to thank Square Boy Pizza for their tour, and their yummy pizzas we had for lunch. This week is Entertain- ment Week. We're hav- ing a visit from Sweetums, and a talent show (for all those talent scouts out there). BLACKSTOCK PLAYGROUND by Deb, Carol and Virginia This week flew by as we ended our celebration week with popcorn, and movies which the kids looked forward to all week. Monday turned out cold and rainy but was brightened up for the kids as we made ice cream cones which everyone devoured within minutes. We also created wall murals of our favourite pets which DRAPES All, added colour to our hall On Tuesday which turn- ed out a little sunnier we had some brave souls try the cold waters of Bird seye Pool Everyone came out with goose pimples but a great time was had by all. Our Cake Raffle on Wednesday turned out a big success as our winner, Shirley Copeman, went home with a delicious Black Forest Cake and our top seller of 130 tickets, Jason Andrews, went home with a gorgeous looking smurf cake. Afterwards, eveyone en- joyed our cakes and refreshments. A special thanks kids or making our raffle a big success. Thursday was the first day of our bottle drive as our enthusiastic kids went from door to door collecting. We thank the parents that drove in and brought us bottles. We'll be driving headfirst into our History week next week and will be ventur- ing into the vast regions of Scugog Historical Shores Museum on Wednesday. Lets have a great turn out! P.S.
