The Corn roast at Ep- som Church was well at- Central 7 to seek zoning for home The Central Seven Association has applied for a re-zoning and Of- ficial Plan Amendment to allow construction of a residential home beside the workshop it now operates on Durham Road 8 and Simcoe Street in Port Perry. Ron Deeth, speaking for the Central Seven Association, told Scugog couyfcil the home would be two-storey and pro- vide supervised residen- tial accommodation for up to eight persons. He said the home would be similar to the one the Association now operates on Scugog Island. If the zoning and plan amendments are approv- ed, the new home would be built on land im- mediately east of the workshop. He also said the Cen- tral Seven is now in the process of leasing 5000 square feet of space in the industrial mall on Durham Road 8 to ex- pand the activities of the workshop. Central Seven serves the mentally handicap- ped of Scugog, Brock and Uxbridge Township. In another unrelated matter, Mr. Deeth told council that he is apply- ing for a re-zoning on Initiation Day at CHS by Christina Mcl.ean It seems hard to believe that three weeks of school have already passed by!
