We learned a lot about the history of our home and have already placed a copy of Focus in an acid-free sleeve to be kept with our house for many years to come. Moving to Port Perry from the city was a big change for us. However, the kindness of strangers, sense of community and feel- ing like we’re now a small part of Port’s history - all things that your magazine exemplifies - makes us know we've settled in the perfect place. Thanks again for helping us feel part of the community. Sincerely Pam Hollett Port Perry PS. We especially enjoy your Thumbs Up/Down column which is always dead-on! Charlie looking forward to less structured future Continued from page 2 moved to Port Perry High School on the invitation of Russ Baird in 1982. One of the highlights with his students was the exchange program that they had with the music students of Russ Baird at the D.W. Poppy High School in B.C. The Durham Board procured Charles as a Music Consultant from 1989 to 1992 but he missed working with the students. He had an opportunity to teach elsewhere, but said that “Port Perry has such a tremendously supportive arts community and that is such an encouraging asset to the community.” Charles and Jani lose to their tv . Alison is stud- ying Human Resources in Toronto. Tim and his wife Rhonda live in Ottawa with their daughter Shannon. They are looking forward to spending more time with their children and particularly with their first grandchild, one year old Shannon. re diy DIGITA SERVICES Specializing in: hild By Paul Arculus Professional Pr Ceri at the Perfect Price! 01 North St., Port Perry, ON LOL 1B7 Tel: 905-985-9755 Fax: 905-985-0687 production@ppprint.on.ca areas with Competitive, Comp and Personalized service since 1817. 193 Queen Street, Port Perry, Ontario 905-985-7306 1-800-387-5642 4 FOCUS - APRIL 2007 Xerox Copies « Business Cards ¢ Flyers ¢ Tickets Wedding Invitations ¢ Stationery ¢ Posters ¢ Plak-It e Brochures focus@observerpub.ca
