The day will feature local artists showing and selling their paintings in watercolour, acrylic, oils and mixed media. The artists will also demonstrate and talk about how they make their art. The Latcham Centre is located the foot of Queen at Water St., near the dock and the event runs Saturday, June 9 from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 10, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Amy Sky at Town Hall The auditorium at Town Hall 1873 will be filled with the silky-soft voice of Amy Sky later this month, when the popular Canadian recording artist comes to Port Perry for a one night show on Saturday, June 9. The talented songwriter will perform many of her popular and easy listening bal- lads. Most fans of Amy will recognize her big hits “Ordinary Miracles”, “If My Heart Had Wings” and “I Will Take Care of You.” In addition to her own renditions, her mu- sic has also been recorded by many other artists, including Sheena Easton, Reba McEntire, Diana Ross and Olivia Newton-John. Alice In Wonderland Alice In Wonderland will be the Borelians Community Theatre’s first production of the 2007-2008 season. Auditions for this production will be held Tuesday, June 12 and Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m., Town Hall 1873. The Sound of Music Port Perry Town Hall 1873 will be alive with “The Sound of Music” during July as Cadenza Productions presents the clas- sic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical. The story is based on the true story of the Trapp Family Singers pf and their daring escape from Nazi occu- pied Austria. With too many wonderful songs to mention, it is a treat for the entire family.
