There really is no longer only one way to go. What works for one student - whether it involves living in residence, commuting to school, head- ing off to university or choosing college - really is personal. The real task at hand is trying to grapple with the idea of know- ing exactly what it is each individual person is meant to do. But as I look around at this group of friends, the idea of “uncertainty” doesn’t seem to be a setback. Their laidback persona shows they are at ease and mature enough to handle the obstacles that come along with discovering their path. Among the grads that have gathered today, Courtney Ristow is the only one with plans to attend university in the fall. Like every- one else, her reasons stem from the fact that she feels it fits the whole package for her, despite her indecisiveness towards a career choice. “T still don’t know ex- ‘J still don’t know exactly * actly what I want to do. what I want to do”... courtney’ be studying commerce ant econom- ics but I also have my sights on med school,” explains Courtney. “My plans are really up in the air.” And that’s okay. As many students repeatedly learn, life is full of second chances and new beginnings. In the grand scheme of things, life’s about making decisions according to one’s own preference rather than what sounds idealistic according to others. As the evening comes to an MARY kay" end and the students make their u Ca n way off to enjoy the rest of the pa —— summer, one thing’s for sure, Pp | regardless of all the upcoming everyone; change, they will always remain grounded in their friendships Pal Le—nkaanerd with one another. <eoeryone wl lore, Fron the beet And they will always remem- to sdreeced able corm, ber the wonderful community wk bokor eden that supported and encouraged predat line todd them to grow individually.
