This month Changing Faces has a lit- tle less to report... which in many ways is good news. New openings, shuffling of locations, and store closings appeared to have slowed since the summer wound down and we enter the normally busy fall sales period. But, as we all know, nothing remains constant and again this month Changing Faces has a few more things to report, which will be occurring over the days and weeks ahead. For a starter... Modern Strategies Inc., a local provider offinancial services operated by Peter Leeds, has moved its offices from 158 Casimir St. down the block and around the corner to 240 Mary St. Okay all you ice cream lovers, Reid’s Dairy bring their delicious ice cream products to Port Perry later this month. The new shop will open its doors at 1874 Scugog St., serving up yummy treats... The butchers at Herrington’s shop are at work cutting steaks from their newly reno- vated digs at 251 Queen St. Just a couple of doors up the street from their former lo- cation, they have added a great new “Deli” which is bound to be a hit for the ‘sandwich crowd’. The United Way has officially opened its new offices next to the municipal build- ing at 181 Perry St. Although they’ve been operating from the Port Perry location for a few months, it wasn’t until this past September 27 it was made official with a special ribbon cutting ceremony by “da Mayor.” Moving a little east of town... actually it’s about 5 km along Regional Rd. 21 from Manchester, “All In One Self Storage” has opened its blue doors’ providing storage for all kinds of personal items. If you get as far as Lakeridge Road... turn around, you’ve gone too far! Well, that’s about it for this month. It looks like fall is bringing a slowdown, and we've finally caught up with all the moves. 6 FOCUS - OCTOBER 2007 144 Queen St., Port Perry * 905-985-4427 www.guyandtanya.com focus@observerpub.ca
