Port Perry Utica crash Two young people from the Markham area were taken to Port Perry Hospital with injuries suf- fered in an accident December 14 just west of Utica. Regional Police say an '81 Jeep driven by 21 year old Andrew Southgate of Markham was east- bound just before midnight on Durham Road 21 when it went out of control, slid into a deep ditch and then flipped over. The driver escaped injury, but 19 year old Jennifer Southgate suffered major injuries while another passenger, Christina Malone, also 19, suffered what police described as minor injuries. Slippery roads were given as the cause of the mishap.
