Jane Litt read the 'Christmas Story' from the New Testment. Rev. Glen Jackson served the Communion and was assisted by Marlene Moore and Luella Graham. 29 received Communion. We have decided to give a dona- tion to Handi-Transit in the New Year. Our plates and spoons for Centennial Year are selling quite well and we shall continue to sell throughout 1986. Our special guest speaker for the evening was Mark David Bell. Mark is from Port McNicoll, Ontario, and has studied at York University. He has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Michaels College, U of T. He 1s presently working on his Masters of Divinity and a Bachelor of Sacred Theology Degree at St. Augustines' Seminary, Toronto School of Theology, U of T Mark was one of 100 students chosen to represent CPPS Mission Projects. He was then one of ten Tanzanian visitor at special meeting chosen to go to Tanzania, a land of 20 million people on Africa's east coast The theme of the "Society of the Precious Blood is "To Help People Help Themselves Mark was organist-pastoral assis- tant at the Martyrs Shrine; Ex- ecutive Co-ordinator for Music and Liturgy for the Pastoral Visit of Pope John Pual II to Huronia this past summer. He also served as pastoral assistant at the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains in Peter- borough, Ontario. Mark spoke and showed slides to the women of his mission work in Tanzania this past summer. He is currently organizing a blanket drive for the people in Tan- zania, as most of the people sleep on the ground with no protection from the cold. If you have any old, clean blankets that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the church. Our new Executive was installed with Kathy Gundry as our Presi- dent. Kathy welcomed her new ex- ecutive members and thanked Lin- da Jackson for installing them. She then presented Annie Wakeford (our out going president) with her life membership pin. Lunch was then served and Mark answered questions that we had for him regarding his talk and slides. There will be special draws for this occasion so try to attend. There are still tickets for the New Year's Eve dance to be held in Utica Hall. Music is by Floyd Lloyd and the Country All-Stars. Earl Fielding and Doug MacSween have tickets. A reminder to attend Epsom Public School's Christmas concert on Thursday, December 19th at the old school. Performances are at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The draw for a Christmas wreath and Gingerbread house raffle will take place at the evening concert. The MacSween's were in Scar- borough on Friday, while Doug and Judy were enjoying a Christmas dinner with his boss and co-workers. Trevor and Travis were visiting with Santa Claus with their grand- parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walker. On Sunday. Doug and Judy, Mike and Jackie Walling and Mr. and Mrs. Brian Preddy enjoyed din- ner and theatre at Whitevale. Mildred Thompson was a lun- cheon guest with Mr. and Mrs. Mur- ray Kirton of Mount Albert on Tues- day Mildred and Phyllis Clarke spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs Lloyd Sloane at Spencerville Marg and Jack Miller of Mississauga visited with the Sutcliffe family on Saturday.
