Kids give ultimate gift THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT | COULD GET FOR MY PARENTS I think the best gift I could get my dad would be a new truck because when he drives it it goes put put. The best present I could get for my mom is a little black sheep (stuffed). Because she really likes sheep. by Sally Irving, Grade 4, School: Epsom. THE ULSIMATE GIFT FROM MY PARENTS The ultimate gift from parents would be a parrot. Then whenever I got lonely I could go upstairs and teach him how to talk. Parrots are very pretty birds. Usually the males are prettier than the females. Ac- tually the males of both birds and fish are prettier than the females. This is so they can attract mates. Some people say that the definition of a parrot is 'little bird with a big mouth' which is sort of true. For ex- ample you walk into a pet store and you see a parrot, so you walk over and try to make it talk. You spend two hours and finally when you get fed-up and are about to leave when it suddenly squacks "Hello!" But still they are very interesting birds. They make as good as pets as rab- bits do. They eat seeds and occa- sionally some old birdy treats. So that's why I like parrots. Jessica Craddock, Grade 4, R.H. Cornish P.S. AT a re £2. / Anoy FE CHRISTMAS! ROSS -- BLACKSTOCK -- Christmas Memories The merriest of tidings ro you and yours on this warm and wonderful holiday! THE ULTIMATE GIFT FROM MY PARENTS Last Christmas I got the ultimate gift from my parents. It was one of those T.V. watches. It was the best gift I ever received. When I first got it I couldn't believe my eyes...I've always wanted one I said. Then I said I actually have my own TV, Oh thank you mom and dad, I said. Today is the last day 'ef the Christmas holidays. I thought to myself. I think I'll wear this watch tomorrow to school. The next day on the bus all the kids were asking me where did you get the watch? I just looked out the window. Then I heard one kid whisper to another kid - he's show- ing off. I stared at him with an ugly look. The kid looked at me and said what's your watch do you show off. It's a T.V. watch. You can watch T.V. on it. Oh yeah sure kid. You want to see. No I don't you stupid. Then I stood up on the bus and said want to fight about. The kid said yeah. He stood up and hit me in the face. Then, the bus stopped and we were at the school. I'll get you yet I'said. I only had a couple of minutes to play. Then we had to go inside. Today it was show and tell. I couldn't wait. I would show my watch. It finally came. I showed it. Everybody liked it. The End. Craig Laird, Grade 3, R.H. Cornish. Holly Jolly Christmas! A cheerfilled *"thank you" to all our wonderful friends!
