Crawford conducting the service. He continued with thoughts on Prayer- "How Do You Pray?" using content of Matthew, Chapter 6, verse 9. Daniel Pugh Jr. read the Scriptyre. Mrs.' Kathleen Watt played for the service. A warm welcome awaits you next Sunday at 11:15a.m. We invite you to share in this fine service. Lions Club News On Wednesday evening, January 15th, the annual farmers' night was sponsored by the Blackstock and District (Cartwright) Lions Club, held in the Rec Centre. Each member invited one or more farmers as guests. After a very satisfying dinner served by the Blackstock U.C.W., guest speaker for the evening was farmer M.P.P. Ross Stevenson, who gave some in- teresting points on the effect free trade might have on the Agriculture industry. Nestleton United Church There was a good turn out at Put some sparkle in your lifestyle Perhaps you are a person who would like to put a new sparkle in your life, or maybe you would like to change your job situation, or perhaps you would just like the challenge of getting to know yourself a little better. If so, why not come to the Y.M.C.A. and participate in a Life Skills Course. What are Life Skills? Life Skills are abilities with which we'can Manage our every day pro- blems in a more appropriate way. There are techniques to com- municate better with our spouse, children, parents, supervisors and neighbours. We all have been in situations where we have asked ourselves 'How can I handle this problem in the best way?" Life Skills gives you an opportunity to ex- plore yourself and out of this knowledge you will find the strength to make clearer decisions in all sorts of situations. The course is also a lot of fun. It is not a lesson where you sit all night and listen and take notes, just the opposite. We learn from each other, do relaxation exercises, role playing and exercises in which everyone becomes actively involved. Some of the topics we will look into are stress management, how to deal with anger, effective listening, asser- tiveness and humor, just to mention a few. So if you have a free evening and would like to have some fun and at the same time want to enrich your life, come and join us Tuesday night starting January 28 from 7-9 P.M. For more information call the Y.M.C.A. at 985-2824. ©29 Nestleton United Church on Sunday for-the usual service followed by a Pot Luck Dinner and Congrega- tional Meeting.
