Jamie and Robert Ashton were with Grandma and Grandpa Asling for the weekend while their parents - Faye and Keith Ashton accom- panied Jill and Gord Postma on a snowmobiling trip to Haliburton. The weather was good and there was plenty of snow. Our deepest sympathy to Ruth and Howard Ashton and family also to Lucille and Lorne Wagner in the loss of Lucille and Ruth's brother Mr. Clifton Gibson. This week Marie Wilson has been babysitting the grandchildren Leah and Simon Lewchuk of Wiarton. On Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thaxter were dinner guests with Earl and Marie Wilson. Judy Hansen, Scarborough, was home with her mother and brother for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Evans and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Evans had sup- per on Saturday evening with Ross and Lawrence's mother Mrs. Gladys Evans. The Espom Public School accom- modation Committee have planned a meeting for February 4th at 8 p.m. in the old school. Our committee will present to the community the fin- dings of our report. The recommen- dations and conclusions discussed will go to the standing committee of the Durham Board of Education on February 19th. Plan to attend this meeting next Thursday evening. We have appreciated all the com- munity support given over the last few months and ask you to continue this support particularly through the critical month of February. Mr, and Mrs. A.
