Couperthwaite attended the annual 4-H club leaders dinner and meeting at the Watermill Restaurant last Wednesday. The Sunderland Skating Club presents Circus Comes to Town, their year end fun-a-fair on March 23. The show starts at 2 p.m. and the admission is $2.00. Villagers ask everyone to sign speed limit petition Utica and Area News by Vera Brown Judy MacSween and some of the other mothers in the village have a petition at the store for everyone to sign so that we can obtain a 60 km speed limit through the village. It is a very dangerous strip of highway, especially for the children and the school buses. Please try to get to the store and sign the petition, it may mean the life of those near and dear to you. Lorne and Eileen Slute visited on Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Slute at Raglan. Sunday lun- cheon guests with the Slutes were son, Bill, Debbie and boys of Rob- inglade Estates. Lorne and Eileen were Sunday supper guests with Ken and Lori Slute at Greenbank. Church and Sunday School this a V5 D week are in Epsom Church at 11:15 a.m. The Session and Stewards will try again to have a meeting, being forced to cancel last week due to the storm. It will be held in Utica Church on Thursday at 8 p.m. There will be a euchre this Friday at 8 p.m. in Utica Hall. Everyone is welcome. On Saturday night there will be a dance in the Hall with music by W.JK. Mrs. Mildred Thompson was a supper guest with Mrs. Phyllis Clarke in Uxbridge on Saturday. Nellie Hopkins was in charge of the meditation, giving us some interesting thoughts on the hymn "How Firm a Foundation," which we sang at the beginning of the meeting. Also reading scripture portions relating to this hymn. Chrissie McKinney led in prayer. In the absence of our president, Lois Daw convened the meeting. Conti- nuing with our study theme, a filmstrip on The Native People was shown, which we obtained from The Lindsay Presbytery. Lois led us in a discussion period following the film.
