After three games the Green Machine had eliminated the Bowmanville squad with three Straight victories. Game 1 This game proved to be the - toughest for the Green Machine as the game was tied after regulation time. But by showing good hustle the Malmont Atoms scored in over- time to take a 5-4 victory. Consolation Championship This game saw the Green Machine face another tough squad being the LNNL Canadians but by not giving up the Malmont Atoms showed some real style in the dying Bantam House League by Don Hurst Consumers Gas - 4 Emmersons - 1 When these two teams meet, anything can happen and that's just what did as both these teams played a tough checking game and close in play. The Gas Works hit the, scoreboard first on Dale Leask's goal after taking a pass from Slack. Then late in the first period again Slack carried the puck from his end zone, fed big Chris Menzies in the clear, and scored on Clarke low to his right side. With both teams giving no quarter, it wasn't until 28 seconds left in period two when Trevor Solomon hit the twine after break- ing up a pass play at centre ice.
