On March 19th Louisa Van Ravenswaay celebrated her 8th bir- thday. Mr. and Mrs. John Hill her grandparents, helped her celebrate and so did her very best friend - Amanda Robinson from Raglan. Amanada just popped in with her mom and brother and sister, sang "Happy Birthday' and left -- Louisa that is a real friend don't ever lose her. Mr. and Mrs. R. Van Ravenswaay from Dunnville, On- tario celebrated with Louisa on March 9 as that was grandma Van Ravenswaays' birthday. Happy Bir- thday from all Prince Albert to you Louisa. Staying with birthdays -- Andrea Jones put another year on, on Monday March 24. And to a good friend of mine in Port Perry I say "Happy Birthday" Carole Pelletier - you deserve it (I think). Thursday night was the regular euchre at Prince Albert Hall. Only nine tables were filled. Ladies high was Betsy Staniland, second was Mary Poots and third was Marie Geer. Glad to hear Sandy is getting out and about. Remember the Hurd Street gang. They're the ones that do the great fireworks display in May -- well, last Tuesday morning at 4:30 yes in the morning a bunch of them decid- ed to walk down to King Street and look to the south east over Howard Jeffrey's farm and try and find Haley's Comet. The gang was made up of John and Sammy Lanford, Dave and Jeff Jamison, Debbie, Bill and Jason Hopkins, and Laura Ed- wards. Now 2 of them say they saw it, maybe so, or was it the sun com- ing up! . BEAR [} WHEEL ALIGNMENT Around 60 children plus their Sun- day School teachers gathered at Prince Albert Hall on Sunday to watch 'Mrs. B' perform and I am told she was excellent. Thank you kids for coming out and thank you 'Mrs. B' for your fine work. The District Cubs from surroun- ding areas met at Port Perry Scout All the news from Cartwright High Hall on Sunday to do their Cub Races and Prince Albert group will send five of their cubs to Barrie on April 20 to compete in the regional races Inthe speed category will be Adam Ross who got 5th on Sunday. In the design category, Kyle Brough . got 4th, Darrin Hope got 5th and Kevin Carre got 6th. In the Boy Oriented group -- Josh Bramham got first. Good luck boys. I will be waiting to hear how you do. On March 19th, the Grade 12 Business Practice class travelled to Cumberland Terrace in Toronto to see the *'Mind Your Own Business' trade show. The show focussed on women who have started their own businesses. The students spent the afternoon asking the women ques- tions about their product/business and how they got started, etc. It was a great day overall, because later we saw the play "Crossing Over" at the Factory Theatre.
