Fine music was provided by the Oshawa Sight and Sound. Janet Dunkley of Caesarea won the Lim- bo Contest and Donna Thompson and Gary Stainton won the Jive Con- test. Best dressed girl was Karel Nottingham and Dave Kyte won the prize for the best dressed boy. The Door prize which had been donated by Port Perry Star was won by Bill Thompson of Brooklin. The Hockey Players Banquet will be held this Thursday evening at the Rec Centre. On Wednesday evening there will be a Spring Tops 'N Trends Fashion Show at the Blackstock Rec Centre sponsored by the Blackstock Even- ing U.C.W. Tickets are available for this fashion show from any member of this group. On Saturday, the finals for the District which involved over 200 boys were held in Port Perry with first in Speed going to our own Jonathan McCourt and Adarn Wan- nacott winning fourth. Rick Mason won seventh in the design category. Congratulations to these three boys for placing so well. Jonathan and Adam will advance to Barrie for fur- ther competition on April 20. On Sunday evening a fine crowd enjoyed an excellent travelogue presented by Rev. Eric and Phyllis Barr of their recent trip to the Holy Land. It was most appropi iate as many of their slides showed the sites where the events of Palm Sunday and Holy Week took place. Lunch and a social time concluded the pleasant evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Wolters have recently returned from a holiday to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. George "Wilson and family were in Regina during Winter Break, when they at- tended the wedding of Sharon's brother Steve. Ken was in the wed- ding party. There were 8 tables at the card - party this week. Winners were: 1. Elva Van Camp; 2. Ethel Goble; 3. Carl Gimblett; 4. Gladys Pott. ; 5. Belle Werry; 6. Myrtle Gimble; 1 w- Nerta Masters; Draws- Haruld Burgess, Bernice Wells and Bruce Bright. The Blackstock Youth group en- joyed an afternoon bowling at Port Perry, followed by a Pizza Party at the home of Jeff and Julie Byers. Blair Martyn, leader had the highest score. Following confirmation Barb and Jim Byers and family entertained Mr. and Mrs. Sedgewick, Norwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Byers for dinner.
