We were sorry to hear that Clara Balli»g is ill in Hospital in Toronto. The members signed a card to send, expressing our good wishes. Our President mentioned that plans are under way for a mystery bus trip during the summer. More definite information will be given later. This being our "Public Relations' meeting, the roll call was answered with 'One Characteristic of a good P.R.0.""" The motto was "you have to live with yourself, so be sure you have good company.' Dorothy Naples gave two excellent readings, one, an inspirational poem, 'Just for to-day," which we should all take to heart, the other, containing little known information about by- products, other than edible, obtain- ed from cattle. Thelma McCreight read an arti- cle on how public relations between countries can be damaged by our at- titude to visitors from other countries. Following the program, we sang "0 Canada,' and enjoyed a social time over tea and fruit bread. Trip enjoyed by local couples (From page 27) Smorgasbord A Success The annual Spring Smorgasbord held in Nestleton Community Cen- tre...sponsored by the Nestleton U.C.W. this past Friday evening was a fine success with a good atten- dance. 'Sympathy Extended - Sympathy is extended to the fami- ly of the late Stanley Malcolm of Port Perry, a former resident of -Nestleton, who passed away during the week. He leaves to mourn sons, Lawrence of Nestleton, Neil of Blackstock and daughter Jean 'Millet of Vancouver, as well as many grandchildren, great grand- children, cousins and many, many friends. Stan was well known and well liked by all. He will be sadly missed with-in this community. Family Capers . A very welcome guest to the Cawker farm at Scugog Point Rd. was grandson Bryan Cawker of Sud- bury. Fresh out of Waterloo Univer- sity, and raring to go he kept grand- pa Sam busy trying to keep in step with the many necessary farm tasks. Long, lean and muscular he evinced the remark that 'there ain't no substitute for youth." He has now returned to a summer job in the Kit- chener - Waterloo area ..then to complete his degree in the Fall. Mr. & Mrs. Morley Fisher of Scar- borough, were luncheon guests with Mrs. Minnie Fisher on Sunday at her Caesarea home. Grandaughter Leanne Fisher of Londo is spen- ding the day (Monday) + 'h Minnie and perhaps will be an vernight guest.
