I Scugog Island Area News by Mrs. Earl Reader Wed. May 7 the "Head" U.C.W. met at the home of Mrs. Marylyn Heayn with 15 ladies present. There were several donations for the Art & Craft Show in June. During the business discussions, members were requested to supply squares, tarts & cookies for the Bank of Com- merce in Whitby for 6 days starting May 23. Members please leave your donation the night before at the home of Mrs. Betty Reader or Mrs. Jan. Gerrow. There was a request to choose a birthday month for the Nursing Home so Nov. was chosen. Plans were made for catering to the DeJong Wedding. Afghan tickets are still available to help out with the Building Fund. The 'Grace' U.C.W. will not meet until this Wed. at 8 p.m. at the home of Florence Fralick. they will have a guest speaker, Betty Ward who will talk about her homeland of Ecuador & show articles from that South American country. We are pleased to report that the Luncheon and Fashion Show at will show many informative & ap- pealling slides.
