26 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, June 3, 1986 Bridgereturns September Prince Albert Hall was the scene of 10! tables of lively, competitive bridge Wednesday evening, May 28th, as the Scugog Duplicate Bridge Club held their last session for the 1985-86 season. A brief business meeting preceeded the play, with President Peter Francis as chair- man. In the absence of Secretary- Treasurer Je: n Dymond, Virginia Clifford read the treasurer's report. The members were pleased to learn the Club was ending the season with a comfortable bank balance and not in the red. Peter Francis read the nominating committee report. With no further nominations from the floor, the report was adopted and the 1986-87 slate of officers is as follows: President- Peter Francis; Vice- President- Jack Davies; Sec. Treasurer- Jean Dymond; Assistant Sec.- Miriam Labanovich (even- ing); Reporter- Doris Phinney; . Social- Convenor, Bonnie Davies, Committee: Doris Watson, Marie Vanderwater, Audrey Francis; Co- ordinator- Virginia Clifford; Nominating Committee- Grace Love, Kath Burley, Otto Czilok; Bridge Director- Harold Brown A vote to choose between Mon- days and Wednesdays for playing next season revealed that the ma- jority of members preferred to con- tinue with Wednesday. From- the display of tempting goodies at the coffee counter, it was obvious that many members possess: culinary talents as well as for bridge. "Bet- ween hands," snacks were enjoyed throughout the evening. The Club will resume play at Prince Albert Hall Wednesday, September 10th.
