For Cummings, Jeff Vernon and Mark Simmons hit in doubles with outstanding catches in the field by Jamie Watson and Jeff Vernon. Cummings Backhoe came back and beat out Brenda's Esso on June 18 at the Blackstock High School. Jennifer Vokins hit a grand slam homer, while Donnie Cliff and Jeff Vernon each hit in a home run. Triples by Jamie Watson and Kyle Simms, and doubles hit by Michele Cummings, Lyndsay Dutkewich, Jeff Vernon, Jamie Watson and An- dy Mackie. Bristol Sleep and Dana Russell each hit in singles. Lyndsay Dutkewich, Jennifer Vokins and Jeff Vernon made great catches in the outfield. For Brenda's Esso, Todd Moore homered, with singles batted in by "Darren Leach, David Walker, Michael Leach, and Todd Moore. Dan Bycock, Brent Donnelly and Michael Leach made some outstan- ding catches. David Walker made quick recovery of fumbled ball on second to tag runner. Jennifer Ar- buckle made excellent stop of play in left field. ATJ trips Orono 4-2 ATJ Tool Mosquito Soccer team played Orono on June 18 and won by a score of 4-2. Mike Tripp opened the scoring at the one minute mark to give or boys the lead. Orono tied it late in the first half. Early in the second half Mike Tripp scored again to make it 2-1 for Port, but Orono tied it again minutes later. Our boys dug in and a goal by Matthew Allardvce and the third of the night for Mike Tripp gave ATJ a 4-2 lead which they held onto. Mat- thew Coyne played a solid game in goal. Strong performances were turned in by Brad Plain, Jasen Dawson & Gary Norton on defence.
