\ 14 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, July 2 1986 - Sun shines down on go> Pioneer Days fun | The grounds of the Scugog Shores Museum were sent back in time on Sunday and Monday when hundreds 'of Port Perry folk took part in Pioneer Days. ; Organizers estimate nearly 450 people went through the admission gate on Sunday, with slightly less ori Monday, to take in the many dif- ferefice displays set up. Visitors had the opportunity to taste homemade butter and ice cream, watch candles being made, appreciate the delicate efforts of weavers and spinners, enjoy the spectacle of sheep being shaved, and to sit down and clap to the rhythm of the Cloggers dance team. Steam buffs were fascincated by a unique collection of engines and machinery, children took part in a variety of races and people of all ages took time to take a look at creative Indian crafts. Even the weather looked favourably at the celebration, which was marred for only a few minutes Sunday afternoon by rain.
