fat : Nestleton-Caesarea News by Mabel Cawker Festival Days - Now History The Port Perry Caribbean Festival - July 10-12th was a tremen- dously successful event. For the three day period Port Perry had a Caribbean atmosphere which went over big - with colourful costumes, decorated stores, exotic food and drink from the Islands. There were so many exciting things to do - and see - it was just terrific! The large crowd enjoyed the many events immensely! The committee is to be con- gratulated for a super effort - we just can't wait until next year rolls around for another challenging Festival - bigger and better than ever - sponsored by the Scugog Chamber of Commerce! We'd like to pat them on the back! Interesting Trip Enjoyed Henry and Effa Stainton of Williams Point, have just returned home from a wonderful 19 day trip by plane and motor coach to the Yukon, Alaska, British Columbia and two days at Expo. They spent a day with Henry's brother and wife, Mr. & Mrs. J. Stainton of Lynden, U.S.A. The scenery on the trip was beautiful; they were fascinated by the snow capped mountains, mountain streams, lakes, etc. and the people were so friendly. An inspiring trip but nice to be back in Ontario at home base once again.
