Fifty turn up at picnic Epsom and Area News by Jean Jeffery There were about fifty at the Ep- som Picnic hosted by Betty and Nor- man Tapscott at their cottage on Cameron Lake. Those who helped plan the picnic were Beth and Ken- neth Catherwood and Mr. & Mrs. Johnstone. The children and adults alike cooled off in the lake and visited in the shade. Several members of the 4H Club enjoyed the day at Canada's Wonderland last Friday. Florence Tourne has been enter- taining her sister and two friends from France and has called on several neighbours. Rev. Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Wilson and children of London were guests with Doug and Beth Wilson and family. Floyd's children are visiting Doug's family for a weeks holiday. Greenbank area news The attendance at th. morning service was not large. It could have been the weather, or the cottage or a family picnic but those of you not out missed a lovely vocal solo by Mrs. Mona Mero accompanied by Mrs. Betty McGee at the piano. There will be service again next Sunday then Rev. Shepherd will be on holdiays. Our annual Barbecue is coming up in a short time, August 1. With nearly 1000 tickets sold last year we need as many pies again this year. There will be work bees for the ladies too. More details next week.
