Eleanor Marie was bdrn on August 18, 1966 in Port Perry, the se- cond-of four daughters of Gerald and Joyce (Graham) Kelly of Blackstock. She was the grand- daughter of William and Edna Kel- ly, Bobcaygeon and the late Court- ney and Florence Graham of Blackstock. Eleanor graduated from Cart- wright Central Public School and Cartwright High School as an On- tario Scholar. She had completed her second year of Nursing Science at Queen's University. As President- elect of the Nursing Science Socie- ty, Eleanor was held in high esteem by her classmates and members of the faculty. Eleanor was a member of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Society having been presented with its highest award by Prince Philip himself. She held Provincial Honours in 4-H and was a leader of Blackstock Ranger Group. Eleanor was an avid camper and en- thusiastic member of the Durham East Junior Farmers. Eleanor was spending her second summer as a nurse's aid at the Port Perry Com- munity Nursing Home where she had made many friends among both staff and residents. She was an ac- tive member of the Blackstock United Church. Left to realize the great loss in ad- dition to her parents and grand- parents are her three sisters, Elizabeth, Elaine and Esther, all at home. Many relatives and friends will remember her outgoing and "bubbly personality. Many floral tributes and a huge number of memorial gifts to Blackstock United Church and other charities attested to her widespread influence. The memorial service at Blackstock United Church was con- ducted by her minister, Rev. Dale 'Davis assisted by former minister and close family friend, Rev. Victor Parsons. Pallbearers were cousins Rick Staples and Fred Slemon and friends Dwayne Bryant, Ralph De- Jong, Robert Green and Brian VanCamp. Interment was at the family plot - at Verulam Cemetery, Bobcaygeon.
