Utica Store mites from Green- bank finished up the season in a tournament in Port Perry. Players were Carl ana Mike Phoenix, Greg and Barbie Phayre, Dana Hooker, Robby Lindsay, Jay Fletcher, Jeremy Gibson and Trevor MacS- ween. All these kids played super in the pouring rain, losing our first game and winning the second. As a fund-raising event, the Greenbank and District Block Parent Association is sponsoring a bus tour to "Mennonite Country" on Saturday, October 4. The tour will consist of a visit to the Kitchener Market, lunch at the Stone Crock Inn and shopping in St. Jacobs, as well as a countryside tour which will include a stop at a Mennonite home, farm and buggy factory. Three car loads of ladies attend- ed the W.1. meeting on Wednesday at Mrs. Earles home and later toured the Parkwood Estates in Oshawa. On behalf of the community of Greenbank we would like to thank all the energetic people who en- couraged, supported, constructed and completed the adventure - playground project at the Green- bank Public School. A special thank-you goes out to the women of the community who sup- plied the weekend lunches for everyone on the work site. Even though the weather looked dismal at first high spirits and hopefulness prevailed throughout the entire project. Construction lasted a few days longer than anticipated but after it was completed we felt it was well worth the effort. It's a good feeling to know that community support is still alive and well. The Robinglade Ladies' Group is in it< third year and has a large and active membership.
