Doug and Beth Wilson enjoyed an evening with Ron and Sandy Wagner and friends at a pot luck dinner after which they enjoyed watching a videotape of the recent beautiful wedding of Ann and Bruce Andrews. Christopher Hill was Christened at Utica Church on Sunday. After the service Nancy and Gerald Hill, his proud parents, entertained the Thompson families of London, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Tapscott Ann and John, also Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Tapscott and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ashton, Robt. and James. There was a lovely programme with our visitors supplying several numbers. There was much reminis- ing and a delicious lunch served by our directors with a lot of marvellous help from our president. This kit has many patterns so several of our ladies are busy sew- ing. I'm sure children in the lower grades will be delighted. Scugog receives gift from 'The Arm' The movie company that used part of Queen Street for filming scenes for "The Arm"' in Port Perry recently has made a $1200 donation to the municipality. The donation was made after the filming had been completed in Port Perry, according to administrator Earl Cuddie. He said at Monday's council meeting that $500 will be used for the annual Santa Claus Parade this coming November in Port Perry, and $700 will be set aside to help cover costs for the planned concerts next summer at the Rotary Band- shell in Palmer Park. Township council has endorsed a suggestion from Bill Barr that a series of evening concerts be stag- ed next summer at the Bandshell in the Park.
