Country Chords come fo Port area Country Chords chapter of Har- mony, Inc. are picking up the rhythm of their musical move to Port Perry. The ladies barbershop chorus sings at the Masonic Hall Thursday evenings with the exception of the second Thursday of the month when practice is at the Scout Hall. Variety has added syncopation to activities of late. Since coming to Port Perry, the ladies have enjoyed the musical direction of Mr. Brian Witteveen and Mr. Len. Clement, assisted by members of the chorus' Music Committee. Several guest barbershoppers and visitors have attended recent rehearsals and we have welcomed our first Port Perry area members. Chorus members and guests are currently learning new music in preparation for up-coming singing engagements. On another note, Country Chords held a fall fowl dinner at the Wood- ville Town Hall, September 25, 1966. This has become an annual event at the chorus' former base. On October 2, 1986, Mr. David Gray of the Horseless Carriagemen, Oshawa chapter of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. Inc. will be our guest Director.
