14 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, October 21, 1986 CRIME | I vad Crime Stoppers and the Durham Regional Police are continu- ing to ask for the Public's assistance in identifying the persons responsible for Break & Enters which are occurring in all areas of our Region at all times of the day and night. Break & Enters, both into Houses and Businesses are an on-going problem for the Community at large. Property valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars is stolen every year and to date in the Region of Durham there have been over 1800 entries, nearly 1200 of which have been into houses. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of persons responsible for these offences. Up to $1,000 will also be paid for the arrest of persons found in unlawful possession of stolen property. In addition, similar rewards will be paid for information leading to arrests in any serious crime. Callers do not have to give their names or appear in court.
