Both teams battled back and forth in the first period but Ajax was on top at the end by 3-1. The Ajax girls remained in com- mand in the final frame outscoring Port again making the final 8-4. Scoring for Port were Kelly Calloway 2 goals, Sherry Harris 1 goal, 2 assists, Jen Pelow 1 goal, 2 assists, with single assists going to Michelle Beare, Kim Caudle, Kerri Allen and Connie Norton. On Sat., Dec. 27 the Juniors travelled to Markham to take part in their annual tournament. The first game was at 10 a.m. against the Markham team. Port Midgets trip up Bowmanville 5-1 Port Perry Canadian Tire Midget No. 2's travelled to Bowmanville for a Young Canada game. The boys were ready for this one, as they've been beaten by Bowmanville in December twice in close contests. But this day was Port Perrys turn and did they do a.tune on Bowman- ville, 5-1 win. The boys started out slow, but for Rick King who held the team in till the boys got going. Mike Gibson got the teams first goal ona pass from Eric Douma. In ~ the second period, Bowmanville tied it up on Kevin Flintoff's goal with' Scott Bunt assisting. The Tiremen then got their game going when John Lally passed to Keith Roberge who fired at the net and Ron Halligan banged it home in the corner. : Lions compete 'ly Millbrogk scored two quick goals to win 5-2...
