Rr co Ball igi sym Nm 0 tad aa Trig pe aay al ata HL -are Seagrave and Area News by Diane Cooke Election of the Seagrave Park Association was held on Feb. 10th, « 1987 and the following people were elected: Doug Dempsey- Chairman; Bert Hutcheons- Past Chairman: Keith Puckrin- Vice-Chairman: Glen Turnbull- Treasurer: Melinda Fish- Secretary; Wayne Addison- Director; Helena Edinger- Direc- tor; Brian McTaggart- Director: Laurence Carr- Director; Roy Puckrin- Director. The executives held their first meeting Feb. 16, 1987 and have adopted a very aggressive budget for 1987. Included in the new budget are expenditures for lights on the south ball diamond. This large ex- penditure is being-funded through a combination of local councils and monies to be raised by the Park Association. We thank the councils for their interest and contributions toward the installation of lights in Seagrave. This will greatly reduce the years of problems with playing time for all our minor ball teams, ultimately providing not only game timne, but perhaps more important- ly, much needed practice time as well; Additionally the park will build a BBQ, which will be permanent and available to everyone for family get- togethers. Plans to upgrade the tennis courts have also been approved. Asphalt repairs, new lines and new nets, will take place this spring. The Park Association Executives compromised soley of volunteers, who want only to main- tain the park in a responsible man- ner for the use of all the residents in the area now as well as in the future. When they call on you for help with labour or financial assistance, please welcome them and remember your contributions whether money or labour is for the good of the park, the individuals us- ing the park, and the entire com- muriity of Seagrave.
