Scor ing for Compton were Ray Zaparaniuk 1 goal, 1 assist, Tim Cullen, Mike Driscoll and Carl Fit- zgerald 1 goal each. Two teams advance in broomball play The first round of playoffs énded this past Sunday as Goreski's and Utica once again triumphed in their individual series to take the best of three, two games straight. Utica 3 -- Blackstock 2 * Blackstock struck first as Wayne McGuigan put it in late in the first riod on a set up by Ron Redman. Jtica retaliated early in the se: cond half while on the powerplay, as Murray Down put it away from Kevin Ibbittson. On the same shift just 15 seconds later Bill and Chester Down connected to make the score 2-1. In the dying minutes Blackstock evened it up at 2 as Redman set up Tim Cochrane but as in the previous ~. week Utica pulled it out with 22 seconds left while short handed when Ibbittson fed Ian Down. Goreski's 9 -- Emmerson's 4 Goreski's struck quick and early in this affair as they built up a 3-0 - Jead in the first 2 and a half minutes.
