She has been a member of the Film Review Board (Censor Board) for the past two vears and 1s a trustee with Durham Northumberland Board of Education Ms. Fairey, who hives north of Cobourg has announced her inten: tion to seek the Liberal nomination for the provincial nding of Durham East She said her appointment as a vice chairman of the Review Board will not alter her plans to seek the nomination. but if she 1s successful she will take a leave of absence from the Board during the election campaign. The Canadian National Institute for the Blind is currently looking for volunteers in the Scugog Towrship area. The work would involve friendly visits, phoning and driving on behalf of the visually impaired in this area. Dan O'Leary of the CNIB says there is a shortage of volunteers for this kind of work. Trioarrested over $80,000 break-ins Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with break-ins over the last few months totalling $80,000. That's how much York Regional Police discovered in the possession of the three suspects, all from Scarborough. Among the $80,000 worth of goods, including missing Christmas presents, are various items reported stolen recently from homes in the Port Perry. Uxbridge and Brock Township areas. York policemen arrested the trio and then released them, but Durham Regional Police talked to at least one of the suspects, Kinda Marie Rapocos, 21, since then. She has been charged with three counts of break and entering, as well as five counts as an-accomplice. Details of the other arrests were not available at press time, Monday afternoon.
