March 16 when all school-age children are in- vited to CARTOON CHARACTER' DAY. Beginning at 1 p.m., we will be playing games, watching movies and doing crafts all related to car- toon characters. On Tues. March 17, we have planned an afternoon at the Nor- thwood Equestrian Centre in Seagrave. The children will enjoy an hour's riding lesson followed by an hour of practical horsemanship. The afternoon will be completed with games, snacks and seasonal ac- tivities. In conjunction with the Whitby YMCA we will be hiking or snowshoeing (weather: permitting), playing outdoor games, eating lunch from an open 'campfire, and enjoying our last day of Spring Break.
