The attendants were Faye Phinney, sister of the bride, and Dale St. John, close friend of the groom. All six daughters of Karen and Stan were part of the bridal party The Church of the Ascension Choir, under the direction of Nancy Fairburn, sang beautifully. Featured were Gretel Cameron, soloist, and Paul Reid, trumpeter. Reverend Stuart McEntyre also contributed a lovely solo. Chanrel 9 the programme Heartbeat featured Armour - telling of his ac tivities. They showed his carvings ol the Horses and Wagons Carving has become his hobby since his retirement from farming in 1960 They showed the barns. cows and pigs he is working o on at the present time His achievements were mention- ed -"being past president of Port Perry Fair from 1953 - 1958 and the honour of receiving the Bi- Centennial Medal in 1984 - being only a few of his accomplishments. This was a nice present for Armour whose birthday was Saturday, April 4th. Birthday wishes for this week are also extended to Joanne Olivero, Jan Banting, Linda Harris, Elaine Campbell, Jan Robinson, Lila Clarkson, Simone Clarkson, Dana Hooker, Michael Green and to "everyone else that we've missed. Mrs. Hank Vanderploeg and Marcela of St. Eugene de Gurges, Quebec called on Jim and Cathy Phoenix last Thursday, then on to have lundh with Fred and Iva. Dinner held Saturday night at the Gate Restaurant in Port Perry was a surprise for Eugene and Mildren Dearborn tg celebrate their 50th wedding, anniversary.
