PF Ea it hy Novice wraps up on top mountain by Brenda LeFort On Saturday, March 28 the J T. Pearce Auctioneers played their 3rd game in their Eastern Ontario series against Ernestown y the midway mark in the 2nd period Ernestown had jumped into a 4-0 lead but at the 2:41 mark, San- "dy Mark was on a breakaway when he was tripped from behind which gave 'him a penalty shot. Sandy knew just what to do as he pulled out the goalie and put Port on the scoreboard. Nice goal Sandy! The 3rd,period saw a lot of fast skating and Very aggressive play as both teams had some great chances but were foiled by superb playing between the pipes by Port's Scot Pretchitko & Brandon Hammond as well as the Ernestown goaltender. In the final minutes Ernestown managed to sneak two more goals in but in the final minute Sandy Mark combined with Jay Tredway & Kenton LeFort to give Port 2 goals but that unfortunately wasn't enough as the game ended 6-2. The J.T. Pearce Auctioneers season is over but instead of feeling sad I hope each team member stops to think just how far they went. You guys took a clean sweep of Port Hope, Pickering Village, Picton and then the final match-up with Ernestown which was the farthest any novice team can go! You guys reached the top of the mountain! Congratulations! PORT PERRY TOURNAMENT On Saturday April 4th Port Perry hosted their season ending tourna- ment.
