But is also means those bicycles are "fair game' for thieves Durham Police say they have received numerous stolen bicycle complaints over the past couple of weeks in Scugog Township * The thefts are taking place everywhere--school yards, in front of stores, even from beside houses said a Police spokesman Monday morning He suggested the one way to pre vent this is to make sure you lock your bike securely when leaving it alone, even for a few minutes. Durham Police have charged two Toronto men with theft in connec- tion with the disappearance several weeks ago of a radio from an un- marked Regional cruiser in Port Perry The charges were laid Sunday in Port Perry as the result of a police investigation. The radio has not been recovered John C. Hagarty and Patrick Brown, both 19 and both from Toron to are facing the charges. They have been released on bail pending an in itial court appearance And Regional Police are looking into the theft of about $100 from the purse of a Scugug Island woman do- ing her shopping last Friday.
