Apply now for Festival of Arts show The second annual Festival of Arts, on the lake will take place this year on our lakefront park, on Saturday July 11th, in conjunction with Festival Days. This show and sale is designed for artisans of various mediums' to display and sell their art forms in our community and to attract in- terested buyers to come and share the arts in our picturesque com- munity. The lakefront provides an ideal setting to stroll among arts of many forms and we hope for a love- ly sunny day to make it picture perfect. Due to inclement weather last year we were forced indoors, if the weather does not hold for us this year, we will be in the Town Hall with some exhibitors in the Lat- cham Centre. We have attracted some new ar- tisans this year from around the province, so we hope the show will be bigger and better, growing each year to be a major attraction to beautiful Port Perry in the summer. 'There are so many local artists in ~ our midst, that it is nice to see a large display of their work. At the show this year you can expect to find paintings, pottery, jewellry, silk painting, folk art, decorative wood carvings, hand made dolls, custom made furniture, weaving, grapevine wreaths, baskets, custom colonial pillows and many more items. There is still room for more ven- dors for July 12, so please give us a . call if you are interested. We have extended the deadline until May 22 for applications, but that will be the final cut off in order to process ap- plications.
