We here in Prince Albert are thinking of you George. The Prince Albert U.C.W. met on Wed. night in the United Church basement. Seventeen members were present. Devotion was done by Diana Brough, Eva Hunter and Lin- da McMillan, they chose "Friends" as their theme. Diana opened with a reading, Eva Hunter read the Scripture from John 15, Hymn 502 was sung. Several ladies told stories about "Friends." Diana read from a book called "Apples of Gold." Hymn 128 was sung. Linda McMillan read a poem entitled * 'So- meone.' ' Hymn 488 was sung by all. Diana closed Devotion with a poem. The business shows a Strawberry Social on June 21 at Chap Jones farm 24 p.m. in noon. Tickets are "available from any U.C.W. member $5 for adults and 12 for 10 years and under. We are going to have lots of great entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Clarke spent last week in Cleveland, Ohio, with Supreme White Shrine Club. They travelled down with another couple. Lila got back in time to be guest of honour on Sat. afternoon at her 80th birthday party. Hosting the party were Ed'and Cathy Daigle, some seventy friends and relatives called on Lila from 2-5 in the afternoon. Guests were present from Kingston, Brampton, Ottawa, Meaford, Toron- to and St. Thomas. At the Prince Albert United Church on Sunday, May 18th, Col- leen Patricia Rombough was baptiz- ed, she is the daughter of Peter and Linda Rombough. Both parents of Peter and Linda were guests as were other friends of the Rombough family. The Senior and Intermate choir sang "Above All Else." Thursday evening at the Prince Albert Hall, eleven tables of euchre were played. Prizes on the ladies side went to Myrtle Gimblett, Pearl Gostick and Daisy Sellers and on the men's side Alvin Spencer, Phyllis Clark and Norman Birkett.
