Canoe the Nonquon an annual event Paddlers prepare for a big Canoe the Nonguon on June 6, is an annual event with all proceeds being donated to the Scugog Shores Historical Museum. Although this is the 19th annual Canoe the Nonquon, some considerable changes have been made. The major change is the length of the course. The course has been shortened to 16 miles, instead of the original 20 mile course. Therefore the start, for most classes, will be the bridge at the 10th concession. Paddlers, from years before, would recognize this point as the first bridge they would go under, after starting at the 8th concession.
