1 Holidaying down East Epsom and Area News by Jean Jeffery Neil and Rose Evans have been on a holiday to the East Coast while grandma Evans had their children visiting with her. While on holidays Neil and Rose attended the wedding to Garry Evans and his bride at Moncton N.B. Garry's parents Grace and Floyd Evans and their family also were present at the wedding. Now it is our turn on Wednesday evening July 29 - meet at Elmer Wilson's corner then on to the Evans home to Chivaree the happy couple. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Asling, Dr. Pat Asling and Ivan Clarke were lunch guests with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ashton to celebrate Faye, Keith and Pats birthdays. On Friday evening there was a surpgise party for Keith Ashton in honour of his 50th birthday - neighbours and friends attended. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Simpson of Uxbridge and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Banks of Thornhill visited Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Page and Glenn participated in a golf tourna- ment in Scarborough on Saturday. Dini Page and Paul Gambell won the trophy. Be! ilson attended a shower on Thursday evening at Ron and San- dy Wagner's home for Debbie Mills who will be married this Saturday to Murray Bacon. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Baster and daughters visited Paul's sister Nan- cy and her husband Roy Meriogh and family at their cottage on Stoney Lake over the weekend. On Sunday evening Shirley Baster was guest speaker at Glen Major Church. The Social Club Picnic will be Sun- day, August 9 at Tapscotts Cottage on Cameron Lake. Because it was a nuisance bothering the children the call went out to the Animal Control who promptly came and took it away. We've been busy this week cat- ching up on the news of the Brown's and their families. On Wednesday we were supper guests of Bill's sister Beatrice Kelly near Blackstock along with other members of their family. On Sun- day, Beatrice hosted the Brown pic- nic and once again everyone met and tried to figure out who belong- ed to who. This year it was extra special because of the visit from Manitoba of Harold & Helen Brown, their daughter Bonnie and her hus- band Vic.
