Port Perry Playground by Jennifer, Nicole, Ron, Cathy & Terry WOW! It's already our fourth week of playground. We've been "having so much fun that the weeks have just flown by. Last week, being Fantasy Week, we had a dress-up day. The winner was Karen Brozina, who was dress- ed as Anne of Green Gables. We also had our jelly bean guess and drew the lucky ticket in our cake raffle. This week's theme is Growing Up. During the week, we will be taking glimpses of the adult world, and try- ing to understand how it works. We will be having job interviews, plan- ning our dream home, and much more. Half of us will be visiting Square Boy Pizza (the other half had their tour last week), and on Friday, we will be visiting the Scugog Shores Historical Museum on the Island. We will still be having movies on Monday and swimming on Friday. Popcorn and Kool-aid are both 25 cents and on Tuesdays, we will be having hotdog sales. For a dollar, you can purchase a hotdog and a drink. This week we will be starting our Walk-a-thon, and will be having a Smartie guess. So don't miss out in all the fun. Register now for a great and ex- citing week! Blackstock Playground by Pam, Tammy & Christine Well, we are into our fourth week of playground and so far playground has been bundles of fun. Our theme this week is Health & Safety week. We are having a Police Officer come into talk to the children about safety rules and many other interesting things. We are planning a trip to the Fire Department in Caesarea. We will be seeing safety movies and taking a look at all the fire equipment. We are also planning a trip to the Scugog Shores Museum on Friday. We hope to see everyone there! Scugog Island Playground by Tina, Julie & Stephanie This week at the Scugog Island Playground is 'Spirit Week.' So, let's show some spirit! Tuesday we will be having a corn roast and popsicles. Since this week is promoting Nutrition, we hope the children will bring nutritious snacks and lunches. Wednesday, we will take the bus into town early to eat lunch in Palmer Park and read stories under a shady tree. We will then swim at Birdseye pool. Thursday we hope to travel to Lindsay Little Theatre, and visit the " Lindsay Park. We hope we can get enough Parent Drivers for this outing to work as it would be a lot of fun for the children and greatly appreciated by the staff. Friday, we will have a nature walk if the weather is nice. We can walk down to Goreski's Beach and wade in the water. On Friday afternoon, we will be holding a car wash as well as a bake sale. Come see what goodies we've got! This is just part of the fun--at Scugog Island Playground, when - you consider all the games, crafts, sing-songs, baking and prizes that go on all week long. This week looks like it's going to be just as much if not more fun. It's Sports Week! All week long we will be having competitions bet- ween the girls and guys. At the end of the week a prize will be given to the winning side. We will be having a bottle drive on Tuesday to raise money for our trip. We'd appreciate your support. On Friday we hopefully will be go- ing on a tour through the hospital. Last week we went to Scugog Shores Museum and we'd like to thank them for the terrific tour they gave us.
