President Glenn Gibson (left of the Mayor) assisted, as did the two oldest fiddlers present--Laura Gibson and Tom- both 84 years old. More than 200 fiddlers showed up for the first meeting. Further meetings will be held the fourth Wednes- day of every month. Discussion was concerning the ac- tivities of the church. It was decid- ed not to have a turkey supper as the burden of providing the successful dinner falls on to few people. Myr- tle dinners were well known and always sold out well before the date and the decision was tinged with sadness as another custom is laid to rest.
